Dear Friend:
In
biblical times, people with a contagious
disease, such as leprosy, were required to
ring a bell and shout out "Unclean -
Unclean - Unclean" while in public.
Kind of hurt their social life.
Cold
sore sufferers, like you and I, do
not have to ring the bell -
But the unsightly cold sore does shout "unclean" to all who see us.
I
used to get at least 4 cold sores
per year - each cold sore lasting about 3-4 weeks, start to finish. That is
about 3 months a year that I was socially in hiding.
